DELIVERANCE

"Deliverance painting" is an inspirational work filled with symbolism and intense emotion. Across the top, carved in stone, is the Latin word for 'salvation.' Below, amidst the rubble, is the Latin term meaning 'to hold your ground.' The columns, though broken, remain united by faith. The figure gazes skyward toward an intense light, as the blood-red robe is blown away from the body, symbolizing the cleansing of past transgressions. The wings seem ready to lift him skyward. This piece is not a representation of any specific angel or deity; rather, it is a symbolic expression of a personal moment in the artist's life journey.

"This piece to me was a personal journey. 'Deliverance' is about holding on as your world crumbles around you, committing to your convictions, and maintaining your faith through personal tribulation. I hope this painting provides hope and encouragement in times of struggle." — James Havens
